Constitutional Principles in St. Clair County Michigan

The St. Clair County Constitution Taxpayers Party of Michigan is dedicated to upholding the foundational texts that secure our liberties and guide local, state and federal governance, ensuring every decision reflects the spirit of our republic and protects the rights of every St. Clair County resident.

Our candidates at the local, state and federal level will abide by their oath and be accountable to the people at all times. The constitution will be their guide, not personal gain or the usual party politics. Our candidates will present a different but real dynamic to the electorate because we as party truly believe in people over party. We understand parties are a tool, but we also understand our founders warned and cautioned against them continuously. With that said we know that to make change we must use all the tools available to us. As a ballot ready political party in this state, we will use our ballot access to,

1. Provide a means for all potential candidates to run on our party platform. Our candidate will know and understand our platform and our principles to which we support and oppose.

2. Promote our candidates and our parties' strengths in our education, application and adherence to our state and federal constitutions.

3. Win elections by earning the trust of the electorate. We do this by presenting a different message to politics and one that resonates like 1776. We believe in implementing constitutional adherence, policy and actually meeting people where they are at. This approach will help grow our mission and lead to success. We also want to help citizens use and learn their constitutional protected right to petition by initiative.

History of the National Constitution Party

The Constitution Party is an American political organization—originally founded in 1992 as the U.S. Taxpayers' Party by Howard Phillips—that promotes a strict originalist interpretation of the United States Constitution shaped by principles from the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and Christian biblical law. The party's overarching mission is to restore American jurisprudence to its original biblical foundations and limit the federal government strictly to its enumerated constitutional boundaries, functioning as a defender of foundtional values and a decentralized federal republic.

At its core, the Constitution Party platform is built upon a foundation of unalienable individual rights—specifically life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness—endowed by our Creator. Economically and structurally, the party champions radical government reduction, advocating for the elimination of the federal departments and a complete return to a free-enterprise capitalist system free from federal mandates, public-private partnerships, and unconstitutional regulations. Furthermore, they strongly oppose federal land ownership within states, and any form of regional governance that strips power away from local citizens.
